John Henry Newman [1801-1890] Morning Prayer 1

Lord, I thank you that you have brought me to the beginning of this day, defend me in the same by your mighty power, and grant as I now rise after sleep, fresh and rejoicing, so my body after the sleep of death may rise spiritualized and blessed to dwell with you forever.
Keep me from the perils and dangers of this day; let me fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger, but let all my doings be ordered by your governance, to do always what is righteous in your sight, through Jesus Christ our Saviour.
